Minister Sherrell M. Jordan
accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 26 and was baptised on October 28, 1998.  She was Licensed to the Gospel Ministry on April 3, 2001 under the Pastorship of Rev. Samuel B. Joubert Sr. at Community Baptist Church of Bayside-Queens, N.Y. 

Minister Sherrell has attended and completed 2 years of Christian Ministry at the New York Theological Seminary Certificate Program. She also majored in Medical Office Technology for 2 years at Queens Borough Community College. 



Minister Sherrell is a woman of Integrity, Compassion and Determination, who is driven by her faith to Encourage, Empower and Enlighten, all women-regardless of age, race or creed. She's also an Innovator, a Community Activist and a real lover of life.

Minister Sherrell was recently honored on May 1 as the "2011 Outstanding Mother of the Year" by the Chinese American Parent-Student Council of New York City.

Minister Sherrell released her first book in March 2011-"Who is She?" Unmasking the Identity of Cain's Wife; which sold out in it's first 3 weeks of publication. She is very excited about how well the book was received and looks forward to publishing another.  

Minister Sherrell was the recipient of a "National Clergy Appreciation City Council Citation" from New York City Council Speaker-Christine Quinn on October 27, 2009, for her  dedication and accomplishments through Sistas in the Hood.

Minister Sherrell and the Members of Sistas in the Hood were honored on April 15 with a Citation from AssemblyWoman Grace Meng for their 5th Anniversary. 

Minister Sherrelll and the Members of Sistas in the Hood were recognized by Councilman Peter Koo on April 13, 2011, with a Proclamation for their outstanding service and dedication to the Flushing Community over the last 5 years. 

Minister Sherrell and the Members of Sistas in the Hood were named Queens people of the week by local news station-New York One (NY1) on November 27, 2008 for their outstanding outreach efforts with the Turkey Block Blow-out project.   

Minister Sherrell is a single mother who strives everyday to make a difference in her community. Although she has many struggles; she still maintains an optimistic view on life.

Minister Sherrell's goal is fulfill the mandate in Matthew 25 of the Holy Bible which is to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless and visit the sick and imprisoned. She knows with much Prayer, Fasting and exercising her Faith in God "All things are possible", if only you believe.
