Sistas in the Hood Outreach Ministries is a Christian Faith-based non-for-profit organization. It was founded to be a public charity in order to bring relief to low-income, distressed, unemployed and under-privileged single mothers located in the Flushing/Bayside, Queens area of New York.
Our Mission statement stems from Matthew Chapter 25 in the Holy Bible which reads: "When I was Hungry, You gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was in prison and you came to visit me... I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did it for me."
Our Vision statement is from Acts chapter 4:32: "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own but they shared everything."
Our organization has divised a plan to help bring relief to struggling single mothers, by way of advanced religious teachings on a bi-monthly basis through Women's Bible Study, Christian Counseling and annual Women's Conferences; to Empower, Encourage and Enlighten distressed women in our community.
Our Goals include:
1. Technical support through parent/child intervention programs.
2. Becoming a referral service for women suffering from domestic violence, substance abuse, homelessness, HIV/AIDS and presently working with the Neighborhood WIC Program.

We have 3 Outreach projects scheduled annually:
Back 2 School: We're giving away free school supplies. Turkey Blow-out: We're giving away free 12 lb. Turkeys with stuffing, corn and yams. Christmas Baby Blow-out: We're give away free toys and $10-$15 Baby"R"us & Toys"R"us gift cards.
Inconclusion, Our organization has been exclusively organized for charitable purposes under section 501 c(3) of the IRS Code, or corresponding section of any future Federal Tax Code.
